DEIB is not an individual concern; it is a collective endeavour that affects us all. Besides the moral aspects of moving to inclusive workplaces, a lack of diversity can lead to a disconnect with customers: without a diverse workforce, organizations may struggle to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse, connected and demanding customer base. And the same holds true for employees and candidates – we see that Millennials and GenZ are actively choosing employers that have an inclusive culture over those that do not.
